Aberystwyth University closed one of its campuses a few years ago. The place has been left to rot, but recently they’ve started clearing the place out, and removing all the old scientific textbooks. Most of them look untouched. Wonder how much this lot would have set students back if buying new.

There’s a racehorse gelding at the barn for summer break that she’s become fast friends with. They have stalls beside each other and Sandy protects him in pasture. Everyone calls the gelding her boyfriend. He is called Five because he is five years old.

I am not often imoressed by town sculptures/mascots but this…. Wow!

Already got made fun of by some teenagers with more fragile egos and less expendable income than me.

I’m only half kidding. I’m a bit of a prepper and I have lots of powerbanks and devices that charge from USB but besides idling my truck I really had no other way to charge any of them in case of a long-term power outage which seemed a bit of an oversight on my part.

The weather here has been nothing but crazy heat and torrential storms. It’s been kicking my ass (hooray chronic illness -_-) and I haven’t been going out much at all because of it. Haven’t seen Sandy in two weeks and I decided to brave the heat to go visit and give her a good grooming.
